Why It Exists

The vault is the most technical scope on your project — and the one most likely to delay it.

A Con Edison vault sits at the intersection of electrical engineering, structural construction, DOT street work, and DEP drainage — with a utility process running through all of it. VaultSync exists so one team owns that entire chain, from the first service request to the day the feeders are pulled.

01

Application & Service Determination

The Con Edison service request is opened the day we’re engaged — no waiting on a third party to start the case. We prepare the load letter with your engineers, sit the POE meeting, and carry the case through Con Edison's service determination and Developer's Agreement.

In your portal: the case number, submission record, and every Con Edison response.

02

Engineering & Design

Fixed sketch, vault location and layout, structural drawings, and switchboard drawing approvals — we work each submission through Con Edison review, resolving comments and driving the design to released-for-construction instead of waiting on it.

In your portal: every drawing revision and approval as it lands.

03

Vault Construction

DOT permits and street openings, excavation and support of excavation, the structural concrete vault itself, conduit and duct bank, and the sump drainage connection into the sewer under DEP coordination — self-performed and sequenced by the same team, through backfill and full restoration.

In your portal: field photos and construction milestones in real time.

04

Inspection & Energization

Vault acceptance, Con Edison release, cable pull and feeder pickup, meter installation, and final energization — we stay on the case until the building has power, and hand over the complete documented record.

In your portal: the closeout package and full case history.

The VaultSync Difference

Opened by our team. Built by our crews. Energized on your schedule.

Because Nexa holds the filings, the civil scope, and the utility relationship in one contract, the vault never sits between vendors — the same team that opened the case is standing in the pit when the transformer sets.
